Wedding tradition says that the bride and groom give gifts to their bridesmaids to show their appreciation for the love and support they have given the couple. But how much should you spend on bridesmaids gifts?
Although bridesmaids gifts are traditional and a nice gesture, they are not a requirement. At the end of the day, it is a gift and it should not be expected. There are no rules about how much you should spend. You should only spend what you feel comfortable spending.
The amount you spend may be determined by your budget or the number of bridesmaids you will be having. Some people say you should spend at least what they paid for their dresses (if they did buy their own dresses).
However, it is more important to choose a sentimental gift, individual to each person, that your bridesmaids will cherish forever. Don’t feel like you have to buy everyone the same gift.
One idea is to buy their jewellery or accessories for the wedding, but make sure it is timeless and can be worn again. Alternatively, Etsy is a great place to start looking. They have a great range of unique and individual gift ideas for bridesmaids.
